Some folks just know how to make a record and Keb’ Mo’ is certainly one of them. While Good To Be… isn’t a straight Blues album – genre-bending I guess – it’s too well done to ignore. I don’t think there’s a sonic element out of place. And songwriting doesn’t get any better than this. (Loved it.)

Mississippi’s capital is renaming one of its major streets for a Grammy-winning Blues singer who lives in the city, Bobby Rush. (It’s great that Bobby, who’s 88, gets to see it happen too.)

Here’s a pleasant surprise. Someone I’d not heard before. (Shame on me.) This is a real solid album from Chicago born & bred Jim Kahr. Jim’s been around for a while and it shows because this album has lots of style and tasty bits. (I’m glad I was paying attention.)
