Here’s a debut album that will make your head snap around when you hear it. It’s 23 year-old Dyer Davis with a record that belies his age. Lots of guest stars, but Dyer is the absolute central talent here. Blues-Rock to a little Soul, it sounds like he can do it all. He’s got the voice, the guitar, and the songs too. I couldn’t listen to this record just once! (Definitely worth a listen.) [PREVIEW]

Jeremiah Johnson – “Hot Diggity Dog”

It starts out as a leisurely stroll and turns into a boot-tappin’ good time. But that’s one of the things we can always count on Jeremiah Johnson to deliver right? This is the latest video from his recent hit album ‘Hi-Fi Drive By.’ (An excellent album.) [VIDEO]

Savoy Brown – ‘Blues All Around’

Both happy and sad times for this album release. Sad because this Savoy Brown disc comes after the death of founding member, Kim Simmonds in December. Happy because it’s a great Blues Rock record. All the songs were written by Simmonds & they fit just right. And his guitar work is masterclass level stuff. (An elegant finale.) [PREVIEW]
