Misty Blues – ‘Outside The Lines’
APPLE MUSIC
Misty Blues‘ new album is perfectly named. Their Blues sensibilities and expert musicianship has allowed them to truly color outside the lines on this one. They stretch and straddle traditional Blues as good as anyone. And they’ve given us a great album in the process. Their music gets better with every record. [PREVIEW]
Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton – “Riders”
YOUTUBE
We have to wait until May for their album, but the Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton collaboration should be worth the wait. This tune sounds like a love letter to the Road. Written by two touring warriors who know it well. And I have to say, they sound great together. [VIDEO]
“Bluesman Jontavious Willis Talks About Growing Up On Old-School Singing, Performing”
CENTRALMAINE
Here’s an interview with a Bluesman that’s been too long from the recording studio. But the good news is that Jontavious Willis has plans for a new album this Summer. Since his last one was nominated for a Grammy, I’m thinkin’ this next one could be something real special. [ARTICLE]
Ghost Hounds – “Dirty Angel”
YOUTUBE
Okay, this video could be described as muy caliente. It’s the Ghost Hounds (with their incomparable front man Tré Nation) telling us about their dirty little angel. The video also stars equestrian and stunt rider Mia Rae. There might be a horse in there too somewhere, but I didn’t really notice. [VIDEO]

Here’s a little taste of what it’s like to see Robert Jon & The Wreck live. And there’s more to come too because RJ&TW has a concert DVD (‘Live At The Ancienne Belgique’) coming out on April 21st. It’s from a single performance they did late last year in Belgium. These guys always deliver. [VIDEO]
Mississippi MacDonald – “From Bromley To Beale Street”

This is a little bit of a travel brochure for the sights and sounds of Memphis from Mississippi Macdonald. He’s a Londoner but he’s also a Bluesman. So he decided to use his last trip to Beale Street as a way of paying homage to the music and musicians he loves. [PREVIEW]
