Govt’ Mule – ‘Peace…Like A River’
APPLE MUSIC
Gov’t Mule hits it out of the park on this new album. There are 12, mostly extended cuts, of delicious music here. And not a single note or beat out of place. It’s Mule at their Jamming, Progressive, Southern Blues-Rocky best. This is what a world-class band sounds like folks! Suffice it to say, I found this record compelling and definitely worth a listen. Samantha Fish And Jesse Dayton – “Settle For Less”
YOUTUBE
The Texas Music Cafe (TMC) has been broadcasting & promoting “Rising Stars and Lone Star Legends” for just over 25 years now. This video from Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton was recorded at the TMC studio and it definitely falls into that “Legends” category. Samantha and Jesse are looking good and sounding even better. (So come for the music – stay for the leather.) [VIDEO]
“The Damn Right Farewell Tour: The Great Buddy Guy Hits The Road One Last Time”
POLLSTAR
It’s not possible to sum up everything that Buddy Guy’s meant to the Blues music world in one article, but author Wendy Pearl comes real close in this piece. Buddy’s last (and perhaps biggest) tour is wrapping up. So you don’t have a lot of chances left to see this true living Blues legend in his element – on stage and entertaining the pants off a crowd. You won’t regret it. [ARTICLE]
The Teskey Brothers – ‘The Winding Way’
APPLE MUSIC
This album drips with Soul – a musical domain The Teskey Brothers know full well. But this isn’t a throwback record. The songs are mostly originals with fresh arrangements that make them 100% “Teskey.” Sam’s guitar and production work elevate every song while Josh’s vocals take you prisoner in the very best of ways. This Aussie duo nailed it with this release. Billy The Kid & The Regulators – ‘Nice Ain’t Got Me Nothin’
APPLE MUSIC
Here’s a band that could use a little love – Billy The Kid & The Regulators. They’re well known in their home Pennsylvania region, but outside, not so much. They’ve got their bone fides (International Blues Challenge vets & more). Plus, they make smiles happen whenever they play. This record is completely original Blues and one listen will tell you these guys know how to do it right. (The ears do not lie.) [PREVIEW]
