Some bands are just so good musically they can bend & blend genres at will. Ghost Hounds is definitely one of those bands. They write and rock songs that could find their way onto several different charts. This album is a gem and a muscle-flex of great Blues-Rockin’. I bet you won’t spin it just once. Peter Green was a guitar hero to many, including Alastair Greene. Here’s Alastair paying tribute by covering one of Peter’s early Fleetwood Mac tunes (from 1968’s ‘Mr. Wonderful’). AG stays pretty true to the original but, of course, he makes it his own too. Love his guitar tone and phrasing on this classic slow Blues. [VIDEO]

Eric Johanson – ‘The Deep And The Dirty’

From the first fuzzy guitar tones, I was in! Eric Johanson’s one of the truly gifted guitarists on the Blues-Rock scene today. So much so that it overshadows his great songwriting and singing. The new video from Nick Moss/Dennis Gruenling is a window into the life of this Blues band on the road. Touring is a non-stop carousel of planes, hotels, and diners. But it’s all worth it the moment they hit the stage. Which is the one thing they can’t live without. It’s all told within the confines of a rockin’ Chicago Blues tune. [VIDEO]
Ray Beadle – ‘Bound To Get The Blues’
