It’s always a joy when I can spin up a record I know I’m gonna like…thanks Blues Traveler! This time out they’ve decided to cut their own path through some classic R&B and Soul tunes. They made sure to bring along enough guest stars to fill a tour bus too. And they crushed it! This record is smoooth and tasty. (Definitely worth a listen.) [PREVIEW]
Kenny Wayne Shepherd – “You Can’t Love Me”

Here’s the 3rd single from Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s upcoming album (‘Dirt On My Diamonds Vol. 1’). It’s some easy-listening from the Blues-Rocker. This album is setting up to be a genre-blender, filled with classic Kenny rockers and heartfelt originals. I’m already saving a space for it. [VIDEO]
Peter Veteska & Blues Train – ‘Full Tilt’
APPLE MUSIC
Peter Veteska & Blues Train have every corner of the sonic universe covered on this new album. Everything from Harp to Hammond and all points in between. It’s a studio record but it’s got a definite live feel. And just the right blend of originals-to-covers. Great guest vocals keep everything fresh too. This plays like a great live set. (Me likey.) Robert Jon & The Wreck – “Hold On”

Few bands can crank out hit-after-hit like Robert Jon & The Wreck. These guys must have some kind of sonic sorcery goin’ on because here’s another one. This tune’s asking the musical question, “just how long can we hold onto this musical life?” I hope it’s a long time. (Damn these fellas are good.) [VIDEO]
The Black Moods – “Roadhouse Blues”

The Black Moods have dropped a great cover of The Door’s “Roadhouse Blues.” The tune always rocks but they added some spiritual connectivity from Robby Krieger and a tiny touch of rock-spice from Diamante to double-down. A classic tune done well. [VIDEO]
