This Week…
Heavenly Cream – ‘An Acoustic Tribute To Cream’
APPLE MUSIC
I couldn’t resist this! A terrific Cream tribute album from Heavenly Cream (a group of music heavyweights). The project was brainstormed by the late Pete Brown (Cream collaborator) and the artists range from Bernie Madsen to Bobby Rush to Joe Bonamassa. There’s even some Ginger Baker tracks on the album. (Definitely worth a listen.) [PREVIEW]
Chase Walker Band – “Bones”
YOUTUBE
Here’s some young-gun Blues Rock from the Chase Walker Band. Chase is a mere 25 but he’s already grown a resume that stretches back for 10 years. There’s a whisper/tease of a new album coming soon, but I haven’t been able to nail that down. If this single is any indication though, the album should be worth some attention. [VIDEO]
TD Lind & The Aviators – ‘Into The Light (Live at the Grape)’
APPLE MUSIC
TD Lind’s been flying under the radar for a bit but now he’s back as TD Lind & The Aviators. Earlier this year the band recorded a double set at The Grape in Ventura, CA. And the sonics are spot on. You’d think you had a ringside table. The band is cookin’ and man, do they have a sax player! (I gotta get to this club.) [PREVIEW]
Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton – “Settle For Less”
YOUTUBE
Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton were making the touring rounds for their ‘Death Wish Blues’ album when they recorded this video at The Texas Music Cafe. This is one of Samantha’s originals from the record. Always a joy to see these two perform together. They’re very musically simpatico. (Plus, they color-coordinate so well too.) [VIDEO]
Joe Bonamassa – “I Will Say This…”
GUITAR.COM
“I will say this, the Gibson ES-335 is not the greatest choice of guitars in high winds.” And Joe Bonamassa is one to know. He shares a couple secrets about his performances on the Keeping the Blues Alive At Sea cruises. Plus there’s a little tidbit from guitar-collector Joe – about the most expensive guitar he’s ever purchased. (Yowza $$.) [ARTICLE]
