The first tune drops on Simon McBride’s new album (‘The Fighter’) and…

…you’re sucked right in.

You can’t help it – that first track melts into a Blues Rock groove and you just gotta pay attention.

What’s The Best Part You Ask?

Well, I’m not really sure. There’s a lot to like here.

Everything superglues together to make for some brawny Blues Rock.

“I’m proud of everything that I have done, to be able to have my music out there and be enjoyed by lots of people is a wonderful feeling.” ~ Simon McBride

So it Must Be Album Promotion Time…

…except that it’s not – at least not quite yet.

Simon’s going to be filling in for Deep Purple’s lead guitarist Steve Morse this Summer. He’s taking Steve’s place on tour while Steve deals with a family matter. Not many guitarists could slide into a gig like that on short notice. Simon’s just one of a small handful who can.

Hopefully ‘The Fighter’ won’t get lost in the ocean of Summer releases we’ll soon be seeing because I think it deserves attention.

I didn’t know Simon McBride before I bumped into this record, but now I’m a fan.
